Catch More Fish With our Artificial Fish Habitat-Imitate Nature's Design

Bass fisherman often refer to especially productive fishing spots as honey holes; places where the conditions to catch fish have proven to be favorable. Areas with cover are often a favorite of fish and anglers.

Brad Metzler a Wildlife & Fisheries Management graduate of Texas A & M, developed the Honey Hole Tree & Shrub Artificial Fish Habitat as a result of his research as a Fisheries Management Consultant. Surveys showed that fish love certain habitats & structures which Mother Nature provides. In the process of helping lake and pond owners to address the problem of limited natural structure, Brad developed the the Honey Hole Tree & Shrub Artificial Fish Habitat. Imitating Mother Nature the Honey Hole Tree & Shrub provides a healthy habitat for fish production and fish attraction.

How Do I Use The Honey Hole?

Assemble your Honey Hole Tree or Shrub. Attach the weights provided, then push the limbs in the pre-drilled holes until they wedge. This usually takes about 10 minutes per unit.

describe the image

Place your Shrub in 3-4 feet of water. Simply toss the Shrub into the water. It will sink quickly and remain upright. Clusters of three shrubs or trees in a triangular pattern works best.

Place your Tree in water at least 6 feet deep. It will also sink quickly and land upright, regardless of how it is tossed in the water. If you have very deep waters and would like to suspend a few trees, simply leave the weights off and link the trees together-tethered to an anchor. They will float upside down at different depths, creating a long vertical structure in the water column.

So How Does It Work?

With over 15,000 inches of surface area for algae, eggs and insect larvae to attach to, the Honey Hole Tree creates conditions for a healthy fishery. The dozen slots around the exterior allow bait-fish access to a place to hide which in turn attracts larger fish.

Each tree has 93 flexible limbs that produce a permanent haven for crappie, bluegill, bass and catfish.
